  1. This is a much tougher topic than I anticipated! We are so inundated with news on disasters, divorces, crimes, etc…that it’s hard to even think of good news! I guess I’m a bit intrigued by the Cherry Blossom festival in Washington, DC. It is just one of nature’s many examples that spring is here (even if the weather keeps changing it’s mind in San Diego). I can’t help but to be happy when I think of it. It even makes Washington, DC a more “magical” place….and that’s definitely something to feel grateful for!

  2. A recent article in yoga journal, about a Harvard University neuroscientist, Sat Bir Khalsa made me feel grateful. He is seeking a cure for what ails America and he isnt studying pills or surgery, but the healing power of yoga. He practices every day himself and his vision of the future is that yoga will be a routine offering in schools, hospitals and the military. As yogi for 30 years who practices 6 days a week I am clear on the benefits. Imagine if Sat Bir’s vision came to be and everyone started their day with yoga!!! Wow! I am truly inspired by his passion.

  3. Seeing all the horrible devastation and loss in Haiti, Chile and China from the recent earthquakes, it made me so grateful to live in an area where we have the societal (and structural) infrastructure in place in case a natural disaster or event happens. Even with the recent earthquake that hit Baja, we had some pretty forceful rocking and rolling, but no major damage or injuries in our immediate area. For that, I am so thankful.

  4. This is a very tough for me. I actually try and avoid the news at all costs. I figure if it something major going on I will hear about it from someone. I think that is what I am grateful for that I do not involve the news into my life very much. I just did a search online to see if there were any stories that I found interesting. On one of the sites for San Diego News it had the most popular stories listed. 5 out of the 6 stories listed involved either a murder, shooting, or body being found. If this is the most popular news I am grateful for not being surrounded by negative stories all the time. I guess just by not knowing about doesn’t mean these things don’t happen, but I wish there were more uplifting stories that we hear about.

  5. I was inspired by the backlash against fox and ABC for not airing the Lane Bryant ad of the full figured woman going out for a date. I love that people are ready to see more real sized woman as sensual goddeses rather than people who should hide behind big sweaters and draw string pants

  6. I have a love-hate relationship with staying in touch with people online. For the most part, I love it. But simple things like keeping ONE address book is something of a cluster #@$%. I mean… it’s an addressbook!!! Why is this so complicated??? So… I was SUPER SUPER HAPPY to learn that Facebook now syncs with Yahoo! Contacts! Hurray!!!
