  1. The three best things about being a Professional Organizer are my clients, my clients, and my clients! Organizing means nothing unless my clients are satisfied. Having an organized file system, closet, or schedule is meaningless unless it meets my clients’ needs. When I help someone who is downsizing and decluttering I know that I must respect their feelings during the process. We are creatures of habit and successful changes are only maintained when they are made carefully and thoughtfully. We also, despite our logic and intellect, become emotional about our “stuff” as well as the way that we do things. Working with my client means listening, asking questions, and not judging. The best reward that I derive being a Professional Organizer is realized in a satisfied client who refers me to their friends and colleagues!

  2. There is a greater good! it is easy to get bogged down in the numbers intrinsic to a Finance position, but knowing that the financial plans developed and managed by my team are essential for bringing drugs to the market place is the big picture that makes the work worthwhile. I almost don’t need the other two reasons! One of those being that this work is something that I am really good at; I’m tempted to say that this work chose me rather than the other way around. Lastly, this job has permitted me to realize the 10-year vision that I had for myself: living and loving with beach access. :)

  3. Top three things I love about being a fitness trainer:

    (1) Lots of motivation and opportunity to stay in excellent health myself.

    (2) My “office” (at the beach) has an awesome view of the sunrise & sunset.

    (3) Getting to know people on many different levels. Learning to appreciate who they are, as well as who they try to be.
